Lady of grace

basic statistics and life story

Rangiku made her first appearance in chapter 80 of Bleach (episode 24 in the anime) alongside Momo Hinamori, who happens to be quite the opposite of Rangiku whether it be looks or as we later find out, personality. (Not that it's a bad thing.) Often considered the most beautiful female member of Gotei 13, Rangiku is your typical blond beauty who hardly allows any friend to miss a moment of fun around her. She's very feminine by look and quite the wiseman at heart, making her an easy target of admiration from both genders in and out of Soul Society.

Rangiku during a casual day-off means no end to parties. She would drag the big guys to bars and drink them all down, or take the young girls out for a thorough session of smart shopping. If you're ever caught by her in the morning, don't even think about going home until midnight! Also, guys should remember to charge their wallet full before heading out with Rangiku: why else do you think you're invited? (Oops, this is supposed to be top secret...) In return, you may ask Rangiku to reserve a special performance for you when not drunk - Japanese dance is her specialty after all and she's got tons of beautiful kimono to match the stage.

Charm Points

"There is no excellent beauty that hath not some strangeness in the proportion." - Francis Bacon

  1. Bust Size: Let's pretend that Rangiku's ancestry, in terms of human world standards, is from the North America continent (based on her physique). Using data from World Sexual Records (now closed), the average bust line for American women is 35.9 inches (aka. 91.2 cm) with a typical bra size of 34B. In comparison, Rangiku has something close to a G-cup: she can't even close the front of her Shihakusho (the Soul Reaper uniform; resembles a casual Kimono regularly seen in Edo era) properly! Rumors say that Rangiku was assigned to Division 10 because she won't get harassed by her boss there. Doesn't that say a lot about Hitsugaya's reputation as a man? Haha...
  2. Birthmark: In most East-Asian countries, women with a birthmark near their mouth are classified as "the most desirable mate type" for a man. I wonder if Tite Kubo, author of Bleach, gave Rangiku her birthmark with said fact in mind?

Oh Rangiku, stop making me feel like an old man.
