Izuru Kira
we are on the same boat
In regard to Gin, Kira and Rangiku possess a similar attitude: they know the man is no more than an insensitive jerk, yet he remains one of the most important influences in their lives. There's also a decisive difference, however: while Rangiku was someone special to Gin in a personal sense, Kira was a mere puppet he's brought up since school days.
After the Soukyoku incident, both Rangiku and Kira were depressed, though for different reasons. While Rangiku was trying to cope with the sudden departure of a family, Kira was dismayed at the betrayal of a leader he's looked up to throughout his career as well as the fact that he attacked someone his senior, even if it was an order. To Kira's relief, Rangiku was already aware of both his problems and didn't hesitate to offer sympathy. As strange as it seems, the loss of one single man resulted in a stronger bond between two people who hardly crossed each other's path thus far. It'll be interesting to observe how each of them would act when Gin appears in front of them again in the near future.
